Metallurgical Coal Mining
Fueling Construction Growth
What is Metallurgical Coal? Metallurgical, or Met Coal as it is commonly called, is merely pure carbon and is used in the manufacturing of steel. Its high BTU qualities are essential, as it is very difficult to melt iron and ore into steel without it.
What Met Coal is not? Thermal coal, which is used in the powering of coal electric power plants. These types of coal are incidental in many of our mining opportunities but are typically not the primary target.
Coal mining remains a cornerstone of many economies worldwide by supplying raw materials for various industries, especially metallurgy and construction. Investing in coal mining can position you to benefit from the upward demand and development of the global industry of modern infrastructure. Steel production and Metallurgical coal go hand in hand, and while steel remains a primary building material, metallurgical coal will be in demand.
